Sites can be launched as soon as a day, but larger, more complex projects can take six months or longer to launch. The timing depends on the circumstances of your specific case. If you're in a rush to get online, we offer a quick starter package that gets you up and running as soon as possible.

Most projects start with a flat rate for the phase involving the design and launch of the site, and once the site launches to the public, continued services begin for a period of 12 months. We offer a flexible schedule of rates for a variety of services including but not limited to web development and design. For instance, our company is capable of handling your press relations, print collateral, online advertising services, social media, SEO, and more.

Once the website launches, it will be partly up to your business to keep it current, which is known to be a strong factor in search engine optimization efforts. Whether you're inclined to make those changes yourself (in which case we can provide a point-and-click interface on the site to update content and save changes), or you'd rather be hands off, our sites are designed to provide quick and easy access to making changes. At any time, you can always use our special issue-reporting tool to pinpoint problems on the site that lets you point at any part of the page and write a message about it that's sent directly to the back-end team.

Beyond the cost of running the website servers that keep your site online, modern websites are designed with tools to enhance its utility and keep it in line with best practices, which are constantly evolving and being updated. Your website is built on a "stack" of software, actually, so there's a need to keep all of these tools updated with the latest security and features. While the process of updating things is sometimes as easy as a single click, it isn't uncommon to find that an update for one piece of software disrupts another piece of software, or may require some basic troubleshooting, or more. These updates are available every 20 to 60 days, so it's something we keep track of, and do for you, so you don't have to worry about it. We also make backups of your site to ensure that you're always ready to get put back online in the event of something unexpected.

Absolutely. We usually take care of clients' domain name(s) in order to keep it safe from being lost — it's something that can get lost in the mix and disrupt your online presence in a big way if you lose it. But if you already own a domain name, or you want to make some other arrangements to manage it, we are flexible about that. Regarding the servers that run your website, while it's OK to run your own hosting servers, the servers must meet the minimum requirements of the software used on your site, and ultimately you will have to be responsible for the maintenance of that hosting account, in that case.

Yes, your website can be built on the Wordpress platform if that's important. We build sites in HTML, Wordpress, Joomla, and a number of other content management systems based on MySQL and PHP. The advantage of Wordpress is that it's the most popular system in use online, and there is naturally a strong community of developers that support a variety of plugin features to extend your website's use. Other CMS systems also have robust communities and extensions, and we are flexible about which system we use, to ensure we choose the one that works best for your needs.
