There are actually a ton of ways this can make money, and I'll go over a few that I thought fit her situation. For one, online advertising is a great way to get traffic to any website. Online ads could be displayed at the edges of the website's content, either on the top of on the sides. And by joining advertising programs, you can make a small amount of money for each view of a site — and when the site's audience grows, you can make a lot of money on this alone.
Another route she could take is to charge for subscriptions. Anchored Web could install an extension that allows her to restrict some content from the public, unless they are willing to pay a monthly subscription for the privilege of seeing it.
Yet a third direction she could take is to create a hub of recipes for other cooks, and charge them a membership fee for being listed on her site. While this would make the most sense when there is a huge community already in place on the site, this could be a great way to make money from content on the site.
Once I outlined these basic ideas, we continued on in our consultation and found the best roadmap for success for her passion. No matter which path is chosen, marketing the website with social media and search engine optimization is a must.
