This Week: Harness AI for a Better World
We’re excited to announce that Anchored Web Solutions will be speaking at this year’s Central Valley Equity Conference on November 15, 2024, at Fresno City College. This event brings together community leaders, experts, and organizations to address pressing equity issues in the Central Valley, with a focus on practical tools and strategies. Anchored Web Solutions will contribute to this important conversation with a talk titled “AI in an Equitable World: Ethical, Effective Use of AI for Nonprofits and Beyond” during the final breakout session at 3 p.m.
In the breakout session, “AI in an Equitable World,” Adrian Rodriguez will explore how AI can empower organizations, particularly nonprofits and mission-driven groups, to amplify their impact responsibly. This talk will provide insights into ethical AI practices that ensure technology serves as a force for good. Key topics include the importance of transparency, data integrity, and responsible AI practices. We’ll address common challenges, such as human labor concerns, environmental impact, and potential biases, and share actionable strategies to help organizations use AI in ways that promote equity and ethical standards.
What You’ll Learn
Our talk will explore key topics, including:
- Ethical AI Use: Discover how to leverage AI tools responsibly to support your organization’s mission while minimizing risks associated with data privacy and bias.
- Transparency and Fairness: Learn why transparency is essential in AI practices, and how to ensure your organization’s AI use aligns with fair ethical standards.
- AI in Nonprofit and Mission-Driven Work: See real examples of AI helping nonprofits streamline processes, secure grants, and expand outreach—without compromising their values.
Why This Matters
For organizations committed to ethical practices, understanding the complexities of AI is crucial. AI has the power to make high-level resources accessible, save time, and reduce costs. But without thoughtful, informed practices, it can also lead to unintended consequences that impact communities and the environment.
